Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before we begin.
Booking
The first step is submitting a tattoo inquiry through my booking form. This allows me to review your idea, placement, approximate size, and any reference images you'd like to include. Once I review the details, we can schedule a consultation or move forward with booking your tattoo session.
Yes. Consultations can be done in person or through Zoom. This allows us to talk through your ideas, placement, size, and overall direction before scheduling the tattoo.
Not at all. Many clients come with a rough idea or inspiration images. My job is to help refine the concept and turn it into a design that works well as a tattoo.
Availability can vary depending on the size and complexity of the project. Larger pieces or multi-session tattoos are typically scheduled further in advance.
Deposits
Yes. A deposit is required to secure your appointment date. Deposits go toward the final cost of your tattoo.
Deposits are non-refundable because they reserve time specifically for you. However, they can be applied toward your appointment as long as scheduling policies are followed.
If you need to reschedule, please provide as much notice as possible. Your deposit can be applied to a new appointment when rescheduling within a reasonable timeframe.
Payments
I accept cash, Zelle, Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit cards, and credit cards.
Yes. Debit and credit cards are accepted, including tap-to-pay options.
Card payments include a 4% service and processing fee, which is added to the total cost of the tattoo.
Cash, Zelle, Apple Pay, and Google Pay do not include processing fees, so many clients choose those options.
Design Process
Designs are typically prepared before your appointment and finalized together during the session. Small adjustments can always be made before we begin tattooing.
Yes. Reference images are very helpful because they give me a better understanding of the style and direction you're looking for.
No. I specialize in custom work. Reference images can inspire the design, but every tattoo I create is original and tailored to each client.
Tattoo Sessions
Every tattoo is different. Smaller tattoos may take under an hour, while larger or more detailed pieces may require several hours or multiple sessions.
Most days I work with one client per day. This allows the experience to stay relaxed and focused so we can take our time creating the best possible tattoo.
Life happens. Because I usually dedicate the day to one client, I simply ask that you communicate with me if you're running late so we can adjust accordingly.
Absolutely. Breaks can be taken whenever needed to keep you comfortable during the session.
Touch Ups
Sometimes small touch ups are needed after healing, especially for larger or highly detailed tattoos.
Touch ups are typically done after the tattoo has fully healed, which is usually 6 to 8 weeks after the appointment.
If you ever have questions during the healing process, feel free to reach out. I'm always happy to help guide you through it.
Aftercare
The outer layer of skin usually heals within 2 to 3 weeks, while deeper layers continue settling over the following weeks.
Yes. Light peeling and flaking are a normal part of the healing process. It's important not to pick or scratch the tattoo while it heals.
Keep the tattoo clean, lightly moisturized, and avoid soaking it in water. Follow the aftercare instructions provided after your appointment.
No. Avoid direct sunlight during healing. Once healed, using sunscreen helps preserve the color and longevity of the tattoo.
