My
Approach
Every tattoo begins with a conversation.
My process is collaborative and thoughtful. From consultation to final session, we take the time to explore your ideas, the placement, and the overall flow of the design so the tattoo feels natural and meaningful on your body.
A tattoo is not just an image. It's a permanent expression of your story. I approach each piece with care, intention, and respect for the person wearing it.
I typically dedicate my day to one client at a time. This allows the experience to remain calm, focused, and never rushed — giving us the space to create something truly personal.
The goal is simple: to create artwork that not only looks beautiful, but feels connected to you for years to come.

The Tattoo Process
Getting a tattoo is a collaborative process. Your vision leads the direction of the piece, while I focus on the artistic approach that brings it to life as a strong, well-balanced tattoo.
Step One
Submit Your Idea
Start by filling out the tattoo inquiry form. Share your idea, placement, approximate size, and any inspiration images that help communicate the concept you have in mind. This gives us a starting point to begin shaping the design together.
Step Two
Consultation
If needed, we'll schedule a consultation either in person or through Zoom. This is where we explore your idea in more depth. You guide the vision and meaning behind the tattoo, while I offer artistic insight on composition, placement, and flow so the design works naturally with your body.
Step Three
Custom Design
Once your appointment is scheduled, I begin working on the design. The creative direction comes from you, while I focus on translating that vision into a cohesive piece of artwork that fits the body and maintains strong tattoo fundamentals.
Step Four
Tattoo Session
On the day of your appointment, we'll review the design together and make any final adjustments before beginning. I typically dedicate the day to one client at a time, allowing the experience to remain relaxed and never rushed while we bring the artwork to life.
Step Five
Healing & Aftercare
After the tattoo is completed, I'll guide you through the aftercare process to ensure proper healing. Taking care of your tattoo during this stage helps protect the color, detail, and longevity of the artwork.
"Your ideas drive the vision. My role is to guide the artistic process so the final piece feels intentional, balanced, and built to last."

The Artist
Art is in
his DNA.
Saul Gutierrez is a self-taught tattoo artist with over 14 years of experience, working out of a private studio in Elk Grove, California. A multidisciplinary artist at heart — fluent in graphite, acrylic, watercolor, color pencil, marker, and digital art — his foundation in traditional fine art gives every tattoo a depth that goes beyond the needle.
Before tattooing, Saul spent years as a CAD designer — bringing the same precision and technical mastery to every custom piece he creates today. In 2009, a gift from his cousin changed everything. One attempt, and he never looked back.
